Enzo Fernández is set to hold discussions with Chelsea FC over a new long-term contract as the club look to secure his future despite growing interest from top European sides.

Fernández, whose current deal runs until June 2032, is expected to be offered an extension that could keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 2034, with an option to extend for a further year until 2035. The proposed agreement would also include an improved salary package.

Chelsea are understood to view the Argentina international as a key part of their long-term project and are not currently open to selling him. However, any potential departure would reportedly only be considered if a bid exceeding €150m is received — and only if the player himself requests to leave.

Interest in Fernández is believed to have come from several elite clubs, including Manchester City and Real Madrid, though no formal negotiations have been confirmed.

Despite Chelsea’s desire to secure a new deal quickly, Fernández is expected to wait before making any decision on his future, with the midfielder keen to understand the club’s direction under a potential new head coach.
