New York first female governor, Kathy Hochul in line with the one year remembrance of the Hamas attacking the Israeli on 7th October 2023 grieved along with them, showing concern and support to the nation.

“My fellow New Yorkers, today I joined you in remembering the lives lost exactly one year ago in the horrific attack of October 7th. I travelled to Israel myself to witness this atrocities, I wept with the family and was moved by the unshakeable resilience of the Israeli people and their unwillingness to give up hope.
“As governor, I stand with the nearly 1.6 million Jews who call New York home and will continue in my power to do everything to protect you. As we light this yahrzeit candle, we pray for the remaining hostages and for all the innocent precious soul lost that day.
“We pray for the release of the hostages and an end to the violence — and recommit ourselves in the fight to stamp out antisemitism. May the memory of your loved ones forever be a blessing.” She prayed
Recall that on October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists waged the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust slaughtering babies, committing sexual violence, burning whole families alive, and taking 240 civilians hostage. Hamas murdered more than 1,200 Israelis during the attack.
One year later, Hamas is still holding over 100 men, women, and children — including seven Americans captive in the terror tunnels in Gaza.
Israel continues to fight for its survival, battling a seven front war against the Iranian regime and its terror proxies Hezbollah, Houthis, and Hamas, and more.
