Inter Miami have made an official contract proposal to sign Brazilian midfielder Casemiro on a free transfer from Manchester United.
The Major League Soccer side are pushing to complete the deal and have offered the experienced midfielder a contract until December 2028.
Casemiro is understood to be one of Inter Miami’s top transfer targets as the club continues to build a star-studded squad around Lionel Messi.
The move would also give the former Real Madrid midfielder the opportunity to play alongside Messi at club level for the first time in his career.
The 33-year-old is expected to leave Manchester United on a free transfer and is currently considering several options before making a final decision on his future.
Clubs from Serie A, Saudi Arabia and Turkey have also shown strong interest in the Brazilian international, while MLS rivals LA Galaxy are monitoring the situation.
There is also reported interest from a lower Premier League club, although no official approach has been made at this stage.
Casemiro joined Manchester United from Real Madrid in 2022 and won two trophies with the club: the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
