Manchester United on Friday Name Michael Carrick as Permanent Head Coach.  The club wrote on their official account on X: “It’s Carrick, you know ❤️

“🇾🇪 We are delighted to announce Michael Carrick will continue as our head coach, having signed a new contract.”

Carrick took over in January after Ruben Amorim left and guided United to third place with 11 wins in 16 league games, beating rivals like Arsenal, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Villa while topping chance conversion.

The club rewarded his success with a new contract and an option for another year, praising his bond with the squad and academy focus over other candidates like Unai Emery.

In Carrick’s words: “Carrying the responsibility of leading our special football club fills me with immense pride.
