Nigerian Musician Burna Boy have made moves to release Speed Darlington (content creator and singer) from police custody for the defamation of character.
The content creator had alleged that Burnaboy got his Grammy Award by having sexual relationship with P.Diddy, an American Rapper who is in the custody of the police for sexual assaults and other criminal activities.
Burna, seeing the damage to his name had allegedly gone to Speed Darlington’s to get him arrested.
However, on Tuesday, the content creator’s mother took to her Instagram page, in a video knelt down, appealing to the Grammy Award winner to release her son.
The mother identified as “Miss Queen” acknowledged that Darlington is her biological son and his gateman got across to her family, reporting that Burnaboy and his team went to Darlington’s house to arrest him.
Burnaboy took to his social media handle, having listen to the emotional pleas of the woman, stated that:
“Seeing your mom on her knees begging me to release you got me emotional. I cherish all the mom’s out there. For over 20 years of life, I worked hard, dropping classics and getting zero attention. Many told me to give up and chase a better career.
“Many made mockery of me and said music wasn’t my thing. Today after so many years of putting in work, I’m a successful artist and one unfortunate dude somewhere is on the internet, saying abominable things about my career simply because he has a mouth.
“If not of your mama, you would’ve stayed in jail for the exact number of years I stayed underground as an artiste. Go home to Mommy and sin no more” he added.
