FC Barcelona have held initial discussions over a potential move for Marc Cucurella, with sporting director Deco reportedly assessing options to strengthen the club’s left-back position this summer.
Cucurella, who is open to a return to Barcelona, is understood to be one of several players being considered as the club evaluates its defensive targets. Early talks with his representatives were focused on understanding financial terms and availability rather than advancing a formal bid.
The 25-year-old is believed to be valued at around €50m, though no decision has been made by Barcelona as the club prioritises reinforcing other areas of the squad first, including a striker and a centre-back.
Deco is expected to make a final decision on full-back targets later in the transfer window, depending on departures and budget flexibility.
Other players also under consideration include Alejandro Grimaldo, Josko Gvardiol, Carlos Romero and Andrea Cambiaso.
Barcelona are expected to keep multiple options open before committing to any deal.
