Real Madrid Step Up Pursuit Of Ibrahima Konaté With Contract Offer Preparation

Real Madrid have reopened talks with the representatives of France  international Ibrahima Konaté over a potential free transfer, with negotiations almost complete. The player will be a free agent in June ending when his contract with Liverpool expires. Club president Florentino Pérez is keen on bringing Konaté to the Santiago Bernabéu to reinforce the centre-back position. Reports indicate that head coach José Mourinho has given his approval for the move.

Real Madrid are also looking to accelerate discussions after reaching an initial agreement with Konaté’s camp. The proposed deal is expected to be a four-year contract with an option for an additional year (4+1).

Despite Real Madrid’s strong interest, Konaté is not short of options. The French defender has also received offers from clubs in the Premier League and Saudi Pro League, with his representatives currently evaluating all possibilities before a final decision is made. Real Madrid are optimistic that they will reach a final agreement and he will sign the contract soon.
