OSUN STATE GOVERNOR REVEALS WHY HE DANCES, REACTING TO HIS BROTHER’S POWER PLANT PROJECT ‘SEEING THE LIGHT OF THE DAY’

The governor of Osun State, Ademola Jackson Adeleke in a post on X revealed one of the reasons he love dancing.
The governor celebrating his senior brother, Adedeji Adeleke’s achievement on the thermal power plant to become fully operational by January 2025, expressed his affection while disclosing that their parent taught them the power of prayers.
Adedeji Adeleke, the father of award-winning Nigerian artiste, Davido, has revealed that his company, Pacific Energy, generates about 15% of Nigeria’s electricity.
Adeleke disclosed this during the Seventh-Day Adventist Church’s General Conference Annual Council 2024, held on 15 October.
The billionaire businessman in one of the videos of the conference shared by Davido on his X account on Wednesday, revealed his latest project, “I’m in the electricity business, I own power plants. I generate about 15 per cent of Nigeria’s electricity. I’ve Chinese engineering companies that work for me. I am building the biggest thermal power plant in Nigeria to be launched in January 2025. It’s a 1250MW power plant.”
The senior Adeleke had narrated the challenges he and his Chinese business partner encountered in the cause of building the project. How Nigerian government officials frustrated them but at the long run, even when he was being told to his face that the project ‘will not see the light of the day.’
In his words: “During the cause of the designs and getting all the permit, we ran into difficult government officials. For environmental reasons, our permit was denied. The particular government official I held a meeting with told me to my face that this your project will never see the light of the day.
“But while he was saying that, I was saying in my mind that this guy is talking s if he is God and because you are not God (I couldn’t say it out) but I was saying it in my mind that God listen to him, because he is not God whatever he is saying is null and void, I am not going to be worried about it.
“So I left, disappointed of course and I told my Chinese friend that look, unfortunately, we have this difficulties and it seems that it’s going to be a while before we can get this going again. Meanwhile 1,250 megawatts power plant, price is about two billion U.S. dollars is not small money.
“In the process, a lot of money had already gone into design and preliminaries, before we got to the stage where we must have the environmental permit before we can break ground. So my Chinese say what are we going to do now, this is very serious, that might have been a bankruptcy for his company because he has invested so much money with me in this, so I told him not to worry, that everything is going to be alright.
“And he said that he is worried, do you know someone that can take you to the president or to speak to someone, I said don’t worry about it, that everything was going to be okay and he said are you sure? In short I am com ing to see you, it seems you’ve found a solution, so while on his way I got on my knees and I prayed about it. And I asked God to make all things well.”
Reacting to the project coming to fruition, the governor had posted:
“Proud of my big bro always. My Chairman. Our parents always taught us to take everything to God in all that we do.
“I hope this testimony inspires others not to give up when faced with those trying to stand between them and their goals. This is why I dance to praise my God.” He added.
David Adeleke who had shared the video on his timeline simply wrote: “Remember the Sabbath day…
“amazing testimony from my Hero my Father.”
