Harriet is a true life story about the black emancipation, it talks about the oppression of the black slaves from their white masters. It focuses on Harriet Tubman whose white master refuses to give freedom even after there was an agreement from the great-grand parent to do so.
Harriet, a woman gifted with the gift of a seer and thus guided by these visions, chose to run for her freedom, rather than continue being abused and humiliated by her white master.
With her extraordinary strength and determination, after much travails, she was freed from the shackle of slavery, however her heart wasn’t in it because her family was not with her.
With her gift of seeing, she went back for her family only that she left with more people who are tired of the white man inhumanity and humiliation, they rather die on the way to freedom than die on the farm of slavery.
During a ten-year span she made 19 trips into the South and escorted over 300 slaves to freedom. In all of her journeys she “never lost a single passenger.”
The activist fondly called ‘Moses’ because she helped people escape from slavery using a network of abolitionists guided hundreds of slaves to freedom in the North and Canada.
