The United State Secretary of War at the NATO Summit specifically pushed at the gathering for Strict Defense Spending Targets. He demanded all member states meet their financial commitments and lashed out at the remaining “outliers” who fail to hit the mark.

He announced a sweeping review of U.S. forces in Europe, emphasizing that the U.S. intends to be a partner rather than the leader of Europe’s defense.

Hegseth challenged allies to safeguard Europe’s defense for future generations rather than relying primarily on the United States for conventional military support

Pete Hegseth: “For too long, NATO has been a paper tiger and a one-way street. NO MORE!

“Europe was NOT supposed to be a dependency of the United States.

“NATO’s power did not come from committees or from meetings or from small flags on fancy tables. It came from warriors. And for Europe’s defense, it had come from NATO allies.”
