Roma welcomed Inter Milan to the Stadio Olimpico on the 20th October, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi opted for a 3-5-2 formation while its counterpart Ivan Juric went for a 3-4-2-1 formation.
Inter Milan got the three points thanks to the skipper Lautaro Martinez 60th minute goal, the goal took his goal scoring tally to four this season. Both sides created chances but the two goalkeepers Yann Sommer, Inter goal keeper and Mile Svilar made great saves, the best chance for Roma came through Matias Soule late into the game but he was denied by the big hands of Sommer.
Although Milan got the three points but lost two of their key players, Hakan Calhanoglu and Francesco Acerbi, this happened after Inter Milan’s President Beppe Marotta interview with Italian broadcasters DAZN which he spoke about too many injuries in football.
After Calhanoglu and Acerbi’s injury Inter has five players on the sideline.
Inter sit 2nd in Serie A with 17 points two points behind Napoli they travel to Verona next in Serie A to take on Hellas Verona.
