Las Palmas Break Drought: 3-2 Victory Over Valencia Lifts Them Out of Bottom Spot

Las Palmas delivered a shock upset against Valencia, moving off the bottom of La Liga with a crucial 3-2 victory. Valencia took an early lead through Pepelu, who calmly converted a penalty. Despite showing attacking promise, Valencia failed to capitalize on their chances, and just before halftime, Las Palmas’ Kirian Muñoz leveled the score.

In the second half, Las Palmas seized the momentum, taking the lead in the 53rd minute with Fábio Silva finding the back of the net after a well-timed assist from José Campaña. Valencia’s hopes took a further blow in the 69th minute when Pepelu was sent off, reducing them to 10 men.

With the numerical advantage, Las Palmas extended their lead in the 84th minute as Alberto Moleiro struck to make it 3-1, effectively sealing the win. Although César Tárrega pulled one back for Valencia in stoppage time, it was too little, too late.

The victory marked Las Palmas’ first of the season, lifting them to six points, just two away from the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Valencia find themselves rooted at the bottom of La Liga, also on six points but with a worrying goal difference of -9.
