Minnesota governor and vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, on Tuesday at a rally berated Elon Musk (Telsa and SpaceX owner) for his support for former president Donald Trump.
Musk first appeared alongside Trump at his second rally in Butler, Pennsylvania— less than two months after Trump survived an assassination attempt in the same location.
Footage went viral of Musk jumping around and waving at the crowd when Trump invited him onto the stage.
Walz at the rally in Madison, Wisconsin stated: “Elon’s on that stage, jumping around, skipping like a dips–t, I’m gonna talk about his running mate… His running mate, Elon Musk,” he criticized.
The V.P. nominee had rallied with former president Barack Obama in Madison, Wisconsin on the first day of early voting as Democrats seek to boost votes in the college town in hopes of holding Wisconsin in their column.
He attacked Musk who poured in money into two separate super PACs, America and Future Coalition, respectively and for randomly handing out $1 million checks to people who sign his petition to support his PAC.
The CEO of Telsa had launched highly-publicized $1 million giveaways to registered swing state voters who pledge their support to the 1st and 2nd Amendments.
“That guy is literally the richest man in the world, spending millions of dollars to help Donald Trump buy an election,” he accused.
Musk on Saturday made his first solo campaign appearance, where he surprised a Pennsylvania voter with a $1 million check.
Earlier this month, Musk appeared onstage with Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump had been shot in July.
Vice President Kamala Harris and Walz have both been in Wisconsin as they seek to shore up support after Trump became the first Republican presidential nominee to win Wisconsin since 1984.
