Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister Darren Jones delivered his final Cabinet Office statement in the House of Commons today, he appreciated Keir Starmer for rebuilding the Labour Party following its 2019 defeat and leading it to the historic 2024 general election victory.
Jones defended the government’s economic and public service decisions following what he termed “14 years of Conservative failure.
He highlighted a 400,000 person drop in NHS waiting lists, the deployment of 3,000 additional neighborhood police officers, and an upcoming policy goal to lift 450,000 children out of poverty.
