The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday received Herbert Wigwe Trailblazer award at the opening night film of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).
The award recognize Nigerians making outstanding contributions in creative fields, especially in the diaspora.
Sanwo-Olu who was appreciative of the honor posted on his timeline on X: “I was at the Opening Night film premiere of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), a celebration of cinematic talent and storytelling.
“It was also an honour to receive the Herbert Wigwe Trailblazer Award. This award holds a special significance as it is named in memory of my late dear friend and brother, Herbert Wigwe.
“His legacy continues to inspire many, and being recognized with this award is a poignant reminder of his contributions to the creative economy.” He added
