When he took office, Argentina was on the brink of collapse with the country facing 17,000% projected inflation annually however President Javier Milei turned things with radical economic reforms, including significant deregulation and reduction of government jobs.
The President spoke with Lex Friedman in an a conversation: “When you are eliminating inflation, you remove the distortion of relative prices, therefore the allocation is much better, but also with the strong fiscal adjustment we made, we have reduced the country risk from 3000 basis point to 770.”
