Leicester City and Ghana international winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024/25 season following an ACL injury.
Fatawu sustained the injury during Ghana’s 1-1 draw against Angola, which forced him to be substituted during the game. Leicester City later confirmed the setback through an official statement on their social media platforms. The post included a quote from manager Steve Cooper, saying, “Our winger will miss the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury.”
The 20-year-old has already undergone successful surgery, as announced by the Ghana Football Association. In a supportive message, they shared a photo of Fatawu alongside the caption, “Wishing Abdul Fatawu Issahaku a speedy recovery after successful surgery. Come back stronger, Fatawu!”
Fatawu played an integral role in Leicester City’s promotion to the Premier League last season and has featured in 13 matches across all competitions this term.
