Jose Mourinho replies to Pep Guardiola’s Comment in Classic Old Jose Style

Pep Guardiola was seen raising six fingers following Manchester City’s 2-0 loss to Liverpool. This gesture was similar one made by José Mourinho several years ago while he was managing Manchester United.

When a reporter asked Guardiola about the gesture, relating it to Mourinho and suggesting it marked the beginning of the end for Mourinho at Manchester United, they asked if Guardiola could face the same fate. The Spanish tactician responded:

“I hope not in my case! In the end, maybe we are quite similar. But he won three; I won six.”

The Special One, José Mourinho, replied to Guardiola’s comments in his classic style:

“He won six trophies, and I won three, but I won fairly and cleanly. I don’t want to win by dealing with 150 lawsuits. If I lose, I want to congratulate my opponent.”
