Ademola Lookman’s Goal Was Not Enough, Atalanta Fell 3-2 Loss To Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappe drew first blood for Real Madrid in the 10th minute, taking his tally to 12 goals this season.
However, 25 minutes later, Real Madrid suffered a big blow as Mbappe was substituted off due to an injury and was replaced by Rodrygo.
Atalanta was awarded a penalty in halftime stoppage time after Tchouameni brought down Pasalic in the box. Charles De Ketelaere stepped up and sent Thibaut Courtois the wrong way, levelling the score.
Vinicius Jr. And Jude Bellingham’s quick-fire second-half goals left Atalanta with a difficult mountain to climb.
Vinicius scored in the 56th minute after Brahim’s shot took a deflection, making it fall nicely for Vinicius, who then found himself in space and put it past Marco Carnesecchi. Jude Bellingham doubled Los Blancos’ advantage three minutes later. The Englishman drifted inside the box before shooting and putting the ball into the net.
Ademola Lookman wouldn’t leave the game without proving his quality. He halved the deficit in the 65th minute after Lazar Samardžić crossed the ball from the right to Lookman. He went past the defender before firing a breath taking shot into the bottom left corner.
The result took Real Madrid to 8th place on the newly revamped Champions League table. The loss was Atalanta’s first set back of the Champions League this season and their first in their last 15 matches. Atalanta sit 9th in the Champions League and are a point behind the automatic qualification places.
