Wolverhampton Wanderers have appointed Vitor Pereira as their new manager on an 18-month deal. The 56-year-old is tasked with keeping Wolves in the Premier League and restoring stability in the dressing room.
Pereira had a 10-year career as a professional footballer from 1986 to 1996. He began his coaching career in 2002 and has managed in over 18 clubs across different continents. His most notable successes as a manager came with Olympiacos and Porto, where he won league doubles.
Wolves are currently 19th in the Premier League, five points away from safety with 11 defeats, three draws, and two wins. Pereira’s first set of games will be a challenging task, as his side must be at their best to grind out results.
