José Mourinho Under Massive Pressure as Fenerbahçe Fall Five Points Behind Leaders Galatasaray

José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe are under big pressure, sitting five points behind league leaders Galatasaray, despite having played one more game.

Jose Mourinho’s side failed to beat Eyüpspor yesterday in the Super Lig. A club whose total market value is €29.65m compared to Fenerbahce’ s €226.28m.

Turkish international Ahmed Kutucu scored for Eyüpspor, while former Sevilla star Youssef En-Nesyri found the back of the net for Fenerbahçe. Despite dominating possession, Fenerbahçe struggled to create meaningful chances.

Mourinho has failed to beat all the top five sides in the league this season:

❌ 1-3 Galatasaray

⭕ 2-2 Samsunspor

⭕ 1-1 Eyüpspor

⭕ 2-2 Göztepe

❌ 0-1 Beşiktaş

Fenerbahçe’s lack of being able beat the big sides of the league leaves their chances of ending their 10-year wait for the Süper Lig title slim. Mourinho must quickly turn things around to stay in the title race.
