Nigerian film maker, actor and comedian, Ayodeji Makun professionally known as AY alluded that his newly released movie ‘The Waiter’ has not been making waves unlike his counterparts.
AY alluded the failure of the movie to gender role stating that his fellow man has refused to patronize him because he does not breast and butts.
The movie director and producer stated this on his social media handle on Monday, this is coming after the highest gross film maker in Nigeria Funke Akindele revealed that her new movie ‘everybody loves jenifa’ grossed 511 million in 12 days and still counting and that of Toyin Abraham ‘Alakada Bad and Boujee’ grossed 58 Million in three days.
According to Makun: “One day man go tell man “wetin man do man”. We work so hard to stay relevant and take care of our responsibilities. Must we have breast and yansh to have the support of our fellow men? I am still the only man left in the business of filmmaking who is yet to give it all up. THE WAITER is a beautiful movie. I will continue to PERSONALLY push it with my full chest in cinemas nationwide. I am too legit to quit.”
However the actor statement does not sit down with the internet users who has lashed unto his word stating that he was referencing Akindele and beefing on her success. According to one of the people in his comments section.
“Reducing the likes of Funke Akindele’s success to having “breast and nyash” lmao!! So Funke and Co have the support of your fellow men because of breast and nyash??? Uncle, the world has already gone mad. Men are now changing their genitals to a woman’s own. You can do yours.”
Ayodeji Makun is not really finding it easy at the moment as some feel he has not even tried in creating the necessary publicity for the said movie.
