Colonel Isaac Amponsah, the personal security guard cum Aide-De-Camp (ADC) to president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo collapsed in parliament on Friday.
The incident occurred during the Ghanaian president’s final state of the nation address.
In a video seen on the social media, the ADC who was in the full regalia had been wavering slightly before collapsing to the floor.
Other guards was seen going to his rescue, he was seen taken to the back of the chamber while the president was left unguarded and perplexed.
According to report, he has reportedly regain consciousness but the cause of his medical ailment remain unknown.
Prior to colonel Amponsah appointment as ADC, he was a Chief Instructor at the Military Training Academy and was stationed at the Defence Intelligence Unit at the general headquarter.
