As one of his last official acts, President Joe Biden has officially signed the bipartisan social security fairness act into law, for the millions of public servants ranging from teachers, firefighters, nurses, police officers, other public employees, and their spouses and survivors who have dedicated their lives to public services.
According to the president: “I’m proud to be the first president in more than 20 years to expand Social Security benefits. Workers who dedicated their lives to their communities deserve to retire with dignity and security.
“Americans who have worked hard all their lives to earn an earnest living, should be able to retire with economic security and dignity.”
