Tottenham Hotspur have triggered the extension clause in Heung-min Son’s contract, keeping the South Korean international at the club until 2026.
Son joined Tottenham in 2015 and has scored 169 goals in 431 appearances. The veteran has struggled to find be consistent this season and has had injury problems. He has just seven goals in all competitions.
The club announced the contract extension on their official website
“We are delighted to announce that we have exercised the option to extend Heung-Min Son’s contract, which will now run until the summer of 2026.”
Tottenham Hotspur remain in contention for three of the four competitions they are participating in this season. However, to achieve success, the team must significantly improve their defensive performances, having secured just two wins in their last 11 matches across all competitions.
