The CEO of Telsa, Space X, twitter Elon Musk who has been under scrutiny and has been receiving condemnation over his gestured considered to be a Nazi salute at the Presidential Parade on Monday has denied any meaning to it.
Musk being a strong ally and staunch supporter of the newly inaugurated U.S. President Donald Trump had given a celebratory speech at the event, thanking America for voting to make the country great.
Excitedly speaking the Capital One Arena in Washington DC stated in part: “My heart goes out to you. It is thanks to you that the future of civilisation is assured,” the 53-year-old billionaire appreciated thereafter giving the second one-armed salute.
He had placed his right hand over his heart and then thrusting the same arm out into air straight ahead of him. He then turned and repeated the action for those sitting behind him.
However the social media had been abuzz ever since as some of its users likened the gesture to a Nazi salute, though others disagreed.
Responding to criticisms over the ill feelings, the CEO of Telsa stated: “Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack is sooo tired.”
Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan who is an English broadcaster and journalist defensively posted: “Elon Musk was very ill-advised to do this kind of salute to denote his clearly stated ‘my heart goes out to you’ sentiment… but he obviously didn’t mean it as a Nazi salute and anyone who says he did is being a disingenuous idiot.”
Musk in yet another post simply consider the ongoing brouhaha a media propaganda when replying to a post that likened the same gesture to Nazi salute: “Since legacy media propaganda is considered a “valid” source by Wikipedia, it naturally simply becomes an extension of legacy media propaganda!”
