Bournemouth thrashed Nottingham Forest 5-0 to record the biggest upset of the season.
The first half had only one goal in it, with James Kluivert putting the Cherries ahead as early as the 9th minute.
Bournemouth sparked into life in the second half, with Dango Ouattara grabbing the headlines with his hat-trick.
Ouattara got his first and Bournemouth’s second in the 55th minute after a precise cross from Kluivert. The Burkina Faso international was in the right place to head it home.
Four minutes later, Kluivert thought he had gotten his second of the game after a nice combination with Ouattara, but VAR ruled the goal out for offside.
Ouattara found the back of the net in the 61st minute, and this time there was no hiding place for Nottingham Forest as the goal stood.
Ouattara completed his hat-trick in the 87th minute. It was a milestone for him, as it marked the first Premier League hat-trick of the 22-year-old’s career.
There was still time for Bournemouth to add salt to the wounds of the Nottingham Forest fans, as Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo combined with Marcus Tavernier to score Bournemouth’s fifth.
The victory meant Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last twelve games in all competitions. It took them up to sixth in the league table. However, the loss was Nottingham Forest’s first in eight Premier League matches. They remain third in the league and are three points above the Champions League places.
