Mbappé took advantage of Jude Bellingham’s cross to give Real Madrid the lead. Twelve minutes after the restart, he doubled Real Madrid’s advantage with a precise pass from Rodrygo, enabling him to slot the ball into the back of the net with perfection.

Real Madrid was awarded a penalty in stoppage time when Jude Bellingham was brought down in the box by Mario Martin. Mbappé, the designated penalty taker, stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way.

The win took Real Madrid four points above 2^nd-place Atlético Madrid.
