Nigerian actor Yul Edochie in an Instagram post on Wednesday has defended African tradition and belief, declaring that it’s founded on truth and fairness.

Edochie emphasized that he will never abandon the traditional ways of his ancestors, thus declaring that he is now a “hardcore traditionalist.”

The actor expressed his disappointment with Africans who abandoned their traditional beliefs and practices because of the feared criticism.

His post read: “Because of fear of what people will say, Africans are running away from their powerful African religion, their originality. Abomination!!! I will never abandon the ways of my forefathers. It is built on truth, transparency, and fairness. I’m a Hardcore Traditionalist”.
