Manchester City qualified for the playoffs after coming from behind to avoid a huge early Champions League exit.  Manchester City went behind just before halftime through Nigerian international Raphael Oyedika.

Manchester City put the game beyond doubt in the 77^th minute and ensured their playoff place after Savinho played a low finish past Simon Mignolet. The Champions League playoff draw will take place on Friday, January 31^st, 2025, and Manchester City will face either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.
