Atalanta missed the chance to finish in the top eight of the Champions League after a disappointing draw against Barcelona at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
Atalanta thought they had taken the lead through Zappacosta in the 36th minute, but their joy was cut short as the referee ruled it out for offside.
After a goalless first half, Lamine Yamal gave Barça the lead two minutes after the restart. Éderson drew Atalanta level in the 67th minute, dribbling past Gavi before putting the ball beyond the reach of Wojciech Szczęsny.
Ronald Araújo put Barça back in front in the 72nd minute. A well-taken cross by Raphinha found Araújo unmarked, and he headed the ball home.
Seven minutes later, Mario Pašalić equalized for Atalanta.
Following the draw against Barça, the Italian side will face either Club Brugge or Sporting Lisbon for a place in the round of 16.
