Aston Villa has completed the signing of England international Marcus Rashford on loan until the end of the season. The deal includes an obligatory £40 million purchase clause should Aston Villa decide to make the transfer permanent.

Rashford confirmed the move on his Instagram, stating:

*”I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me, but Aston Villa was an easy decision. I really admire the way Aston Villa have been playing this season and the manager’s ambitions. I just want to play football and am excited to get started.

“I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”*

Rashford had struggled for game time under Rúben Amorim, having been left out of the squad for six consecutive matchdays. He will now hope to regain his form under Unai Emery at Aston Villa and work his way back into the England squad.
