Former Super Eagles defender Taiye Taiwo has been inducted into the Olympique Marseille Hall of Fame. The Nigerian is one of the most underrated left-backs of his generation.
Taiwo played for Marseille from 2005 to 2011 and was instrumental in the club’s success. He helped the club win five trophies, including an historic domestic treble in 2010, in which he featured thirty-seven times that season.
The club announced Taiwo’s induction into the club’s hall of fame on its official Instagram handle: “Taye Taiwo honored ahead of #OMOL 🔥 Present tonight at the @orangevelodrome to cheer on the Olympians, the defender 🇳🇬 received his trophy.”
