Italian outfit AS Roma has completed the signing of Nigerian center-back Shukurat Oladipo. Oladipo joins AS Roma from FC Robo, where she made 178 appearances for the Nigerian side.
Oladipo has represented Nigeria at the U-20 World Cup and has played for the Super Falcons twice. She joins Roma on a two-year contract, valid until 2027, and will wear the number 19 jersey.
The 20-year-old expressed her joy at joining the Italian outfit, telling the club media, “I’m very happy; I feel so excited. It’s a very big opportunity for me to join a very big team like AS Roma.”
Oladipo added, “Coming to Italy and playing for AS Roma is a very big, life-changing experience for me. It will help my career grow and also help me grow as a person and a footballer.”
Furthermore, she stated that she wants to help the team succeed in achieving its objectives. “My target is to help the team achieve their objectives and plans for the season. My other target is to improve as a player.”
