After four months on the sidelines, Semi Ajayi has made a successful return from injury. Ajayi suffered a hamstring injury in West Ham’s league match against Cardiff City in October.
The 31-year-old was a regular starter for the club before his injury. The news of his return was announced on the club’s Instagram page, in collaboration with the Super Eagles’ handle, with a picture of the player in the club’s training kit.
Ajayi was an unused substitute in the club’s 2-0 loss against Blackburn Rovers. His injury recovery is a significant boost for new Super Eagles manager, Eric Chelle, as Ajayi has been one of the most important players in the Super Eagles setup.
