Manchester City will be without Swiss center-back Manuel Akanji for the UEFA Champions League second leg against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The defender suffered a muscular injury in the first half of the first-leg clash against Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium.

He will also be ruled out of the Cityzens’ Premier League fixtures against Newcastle United and Liverpool, Paul Hirst has confirmed.
