Rangers have sacked Philippe Clement following a disappointing run of form. The club has won only 17 out of 27 league games this season and currently sits 15 points behind league leaders Celtic.
Under Clement’s management, Rangers were eliminated from the Scottish Cup by Queen’s Park. His only notable achievements during his tenure were winning the Scottish League Cup last season and guiding the team to the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 this season.
The club confirmed his departure via its official X handle, stating:
*”Rangers Football Club can confirm it has tonight parted company with men’s first-team manager Philippe Clement.
The club would like to put on record its sincere thanks to Philippe for his hard work and dedication during his spell in charge.”*
