Nathan Aké is expected to be out for an extended period after undergoing foot surgery.
The 30-year-old was substituted at halftime due to injury in the FA Cup Round of 16 tie against Championship side Plymouth Argyle.
The Dutch international has played only seventeen matches for Manchester City this season due to injuries. He underwent an operation to address a foot problem and shared an update on Instagram, stating:
“This has been such a frustrating season for me, but I’ve now had successful surgery on a fracture in my foot which has been bothering me for months, and I’m looking positively to the future!”
The Cityzens have eleven games remaining in the season, along with an FA Cup quarter-final tie to compete in.
