Kunle Afolayan Laments Incompetency Among Nigerian Job Seekers

Renowned Nigerian actor, filmmaker, and director Kunle Afolayan has expressed deep frustration over what he describes as the alarming level of incompetence in the country.

On a post he made on his official Instagram page, Afolayan pointed out the irony of people complaining about unemployment yet failing to deliver efficiently when given job opportunities.

“I am so saddened by the high level of incompetence in our beloved country. A lot of people cry about not having a job, but when they get one, how efficient are they at it? I’m so pissed” he wrote.

Afolayan’s colleagues shared the sentiments, with many recounting their experiences with incompetency.

Actress Biola AdeBayo commented about her experience, stating, “They’ll apply for jobs, call for an interview and won’t show up.

“The ones you picked will not resume work, or the one who resumes work doesn’t wanna work.” Adebayo stated

TV host Stephanie Coker revealed she had spent the weekend discussing the same issue

While comedian Kiekie also described the situation as alarming, noting that even with money, excellence remains elusive.
