Morocco national team head coach Walid Regragui has released the squad list for their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Niger and Tanzania.
Regragui has included four new players in the squad: Bilal Nadir, Hamza Igamane, Omar El Hilali, and Chemsdine Talbi.
Igamane earned his call-up following an impressive season with Rangers, contributing to 15 goals. Meanwhile, Talbi, who opted to represent Morocco over Belgium, has been in excellent form for Club Brugge, scoring seven goals and providing four assists across all competitions.
Veteran defender Jawad El Yamiq has returned to the squad after a lengthy absence. However, Hakim Ziyech remains unavailable.
When asked about Ziyech’s omission, Regragui stated that the 31-year-old must be at his best to contribute to the team. “We need Ziyech on top of his game so he can help us win matches,” he said.
