Algeria’s head coach, Vladimir Petkovic, has called up 25 players for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Botswana and Mozambique.

ES Tunis winger Youcef Belaïli returns to the national team after an impressive season, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists in all competitions.

The matches against Mozambique and Botswana are crucial, with the Desert Foxes currently leading Group G. They are level on points with Mozambique and three points ahead of Botswana. Securing victories would strengthen their position, as qualifying for the 2026 World Cup is the minimum target set by the Algerian FA.
