Luca Marianucci Set to Join Napoli in the Summer

Luca Marianucci will join Napoli next summer for a fee of around £9 million, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano. AC Milan and Inter Milan were also scouting him, but Napoli’s interest was concrete.

Speaking at the Palermo Football Conference (via TMW), his representative stated: “We have spoken to Napoli, both us who represent the player and Empoli. The deal is practically done.”

Marianucci is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Italy and a potential future international. An Empoli academy graduate, he has made 15 first-team appearances and registered two assists.

Training under Antonio Conte at Napoli is expected to help his development, as the Italian coach is known for working with young talents. Conte’s defensive structure, combined with a focus on rapid transitions, could see Marianucci grow and become important in the Napoli set up.
