Chinese youngster Guo Jiaxuan, an 18-year-old former youth player for Bayern Munich, tragically passed away due to a severe head injury sustained during a training session in Spain that left him in coma.

After being declared brain dead by doctors in Madrid, he was transported to Beijing, where he sadly passed away on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on February 6, 2025, and he never recovered from it, the youngster passed away on the eve of his 19th birthday.

The Chinese footballer played for Beijing Guoan’s U-19 team and earned a spot on China’s U-17 squad in 2023.

That same year, he was selected for the prestigious FC Bayern World Squad.

The football community, including fans, clubs, and media, have expressed profound sorrow over the loss.
