Lagos State Ministry Of The Environment And Water Resources Unclog Mcgregor Channel In Obalende To Ensure Flood Free State

Lagos State Honourable Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab in a post of social media platform disclosed the cleaning of McGregor channel in Obalende.
Though his post spark controversies on the platform regarding an ongoing debate that the state smell badly.
Recall that a National Youth Service corps member Raye, posted to lagos state for her mandatory one year service had in a video criticized the Tinubu administration while categorically emphasizing that Lagos State has bad odor.
This has been an ongoing debate over social media platform as some feel it’s the blocked channel that emits offensive odor in the state plus people that are fond of urinating in open spaces.
Hon. Wahab in his post stated: “we commenced the cleaning of McGregor Channel in Obalende as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a flood-free Lagos. Keeping our drainage channels clear is crucial as we prepare for the rainy season.
“A clean and efficient drainage system protects lives, property, and infrastructure. I urge all residents to desist from indiscriminate waste disposal and take ownership of their environment. A cleaner Lagos is a collective responsibility!” he added
