Alleged Kenyan Missing Police Officer Found Dead, Haitians Parades Corpse

The office of the Inspector, National Police Service on Wednesday released a press statement announcing a missing Kenyan officer on Haiti soil.

According to the NPS spokesperson, Muchiri Nyaga the force was informed of its missing officer while on duty on the 25th March following an ambush incidence.

The statement read in part: “A Kenyan police officer serving under the Kenyan-led Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) in Haiti is missing.

“Following an ambush incidence along the Carrefour Paye-Savien main supply route in the pont-sonde area, Artibonite Department.”

It further explained that the MSS in collaboration with the Haitian National Police are doing all within its power to locate the missing officer, through search and rescue operation.

However, a yet to be identified corpse wearing the uniform of the Kenyan Police Service has flooded the internet, alleging it to be the missing officer, with a person assaulting the dead body.

The NPS is yet to confirm it to the public.
