The United Kingdom government has released an updated list naming Nigerians who passed away in the UK and left behind unclaimed estates, prompting authorities to call on families to come forward and claim their relatives’ properties. According to the update released on Monday, March 24, the list now includes over 170 entries linked to African-born individuals, with Nigerians topping the roster.
In total, the UK government revealed that 5,806 individuals from various countries died without any immediate heirs to claim their estates. Some of these cases date back as far as 20 years.
