Obi Visit School Of Midwifery In Owerri, Donates N15 Million, Emphasises Need To Empower Healthcare Professionals.

During the visit at the School of Midwifery, Holy Rosary Hospital, Emekuku, Owerri on Wednesday, Peter Obi a presidential aspirant who had previously donated N10 million in August of 2024, donated N15 million in support of the school development.

Obi echoed the urgent need for young people to be actively involved in building the nation, emphasizing that investing in education and healthcare advancement will assist the country’s growth

Obi who posted on X wrote: “I have consistently advocated for increased and more strategic investments in the critical sectors of education and healthcare – sectors that form the bedrock of any thriving nation.

“In particular, I continue to emphasise the urgent need to encourage the training and empowerment of healthcare professionals, whose roles are indispensable to national and global development.

“As part of my support, I made a donation of ₦15 million to assist the school in its noble mission of producing well-trained and highly competent healthcare workers.

“Together, through sustained investment and shared commitment, we can build a healthier, more educated, and more hopeful nation.” he advocated

The school administrative appreciated Obi for assisting them build their administrative offices and praised his continuous dedication towards education and health in Nigeria.

After Peter Obi spoke to the students, a woman who had just given birth brought her baby forward, insisting the child must receive blessings which according to her is “the Peter Obi Grace”
