Ikorodu City captain, Waliu Ojetoye, delivered a breathtaking performance as he provided three assists on the night.
Emmanuel Solomon opened the scoring in the 13th minute after a precise pass from Ojetoye.
Shola Adelani doubled the hosts’ advantage in the 36th minute — this time, Emmanuel Solomon turned provider.
Ten minutes after the restart, Ikorodu City made it three, thanks to a composed finish by Tosin. Ayomide Cole made it four in the 71st minute, with Ojetoye once again the architect of the goal.
Oladimeji Dada came off the bench to make it five in the 81st minute — Ojetoye with the assist. The assist for Dada completed a hat-trick of assists for the club captain.
He became the second player to register three assists in a single NPFL match this season, after Harrison Uzondu.
Cole got his second of the night in the 86th minute with a long-range strike from outside the box.
The result means Ikorodu City are now fourth in the NPFL standings, just a point behind the continental spots.
With six games left in the season, a place on the continent remains a strong possibility.
