Inter Milan booked their place in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League after beating Bayern 4-3 on aggregate.
Inter came into the second leg with a 2-1 advantage.
The first half was goalless, with Bayern Munich unable to break the strong Inter defence.
Bayern went ahead on the night and levelled the tie on aggregate through Harry Kane immediately after the restart.
Nine minutes later, Lautaro Martinez restored Inter’s lead on aggregate with a beautiful shot from six yards out.
In the 61st minute, Benjamin Pavard extended Bayern’s lead on the night. It was his first goal for the club, and what a way to score it—against your old club, in a Champions League quarter-final.
But Bayern wouldn’t be silenced easily, so the German side reduced the deficit on aggregate and drew level on the night through Eric Dier’s header.
Bayern pushed for a goal that would send the tie into extra time, but the goal never came as the Nerazzurri stood their ground and progressed to the semi-final, where they will take on Spanish giants Barcelona.
