Netizen Narrates How Spilled Diesel Along The Road Almost Cost Him His Families’ Lives

”God saved me yesterday. I was in the car with my wife and 3 friends. While speeding between 80KM/HR to 100/HR on Lagos Ibadan Expressway yesterday morning, approaching Mowe, immediately I overtook a trailer, I landed on spilled diesel along the road…

“The next thing that happened wasn’t child’s play. The car swerved on speed. It skidded towards the mouth of other speeding vehicles. It turned around facing the trailer and oncoming vehicles. We skidded round like twice towards the culvert and towards unpaved ground.

“We were rolling and turning on speed while I drag the steering to balance. The more I tried to control, the more it skidded. Vehicles behind us had to slow down while watching a terrible accident unfold.

“The screeching of the tyres, my wife’s heartbeat and the scream of Jesus Jesus Jesus were ringing in my head but I didn’t apply brake until the vehicle reduced so much speed and I stopped 10 inches beside the culvert.

“All vehicles had waited as this drama unfolded for about 100 meters from where it started. We came out unhurt to the gathering of crowd.

“They stopped vehicles for us so I drove to the unpaved side of the road while observers were explaining what happened to us. I was lost for speech. Everyone kept saying “you all should kneel down and thank God” because they witnessed it. I couldn’t say a word.

“Nothing happened to the car as well. The tyres were standing. I also want to appreciate the trailer driver who slowed down. A little touch from him would have thrown us tumbling down.

“Everyone kept hailing me as a good driver for not applying brake until I was sure but it wasn’t me, it was God. I didn’t know how massive what happened to us was until the crowd explained it shouting “Olorun lo yo yin”. “People had their hands on their heads like

“We contemplated going back home but our minds wouldn’t go off Osogbo. A ti lo, a ti de. Na God we praise”
